Publication Design introduced a variety of ways of producing unique layouts incorporating type and imagery. The Wiki Reader project allowed us to explore a creative path while spontaneously clicking through Wikipedia. This arbitrary process led to an 8.5x11" 12-page booklet. Staring at a random topic, chandelier, I clicked my way to Edgar Allen Poe based on various hyperlinks found within the articles. Chiaroscuro, by definition, depicts the interaction of light and shadow on or as if on a surface. Similarly, this reader takes us from the light of a chandelier to the dark mind of the author, Mr. Poe.
